Irene Garmann
Irene B. Garmann, 70, of Minster, died at 11:50 a.m. Dec. 21, 2006, in Shelby County. Death was due to an automobile accident.
She was born Aug. 14, 1936, in Maria Stein, to Lawrence and Anna Henke Mescher. On Jan. 30, 1957, she married Edmund A. Garmann, who died Nov. 21, 1996.
Survivors are two sons, Brad (Sandy), Minster, and Greg (Ann), Maria Stein; two daughters, Carol (Ron) Kohn, Celina, and Lisa (Patrick) Kindelin, Sidney; a brother, Robert (Velma) Mescher, Maria Stein; three sisters, Dorothy Imwalle and Delores Schweiterman, Maria Stein, and Mary Ann (Tony) Quinter, Fort Loramie; and 18 grandchildren.
Deceased is a sister, Ruth Bender.
She was a retired head cook of Marion Local Schools. She was a member of St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster, and its mission commission and Naime of the North. She was also a member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles Aerie 1391 Auxiliary, Minster.
Services are 10 a.m. Wednesday at the church, the Rev. Rick Niebreding officiating. Burial is at the church cemetery.
Calling is 2-8 p.m. Tuesday and 9-9:30 a.m. Wednesday at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
