A brigade of local volunteers showed up at the hill in Eastview Park in Celina Sunday afternoon to help Pink Anchor Foundation create a large breast cancer awareness ribbon using 42,670 pink flags. According to the foundation, each flag represents a life expected to be lost to breast cancer this year - a powerful visual reminder of the people, families and communities impacted by the disease. On its social media page, the foundation sent a "huge thank you" to all the volunteers and to Legacy Design Homes for donating the flags that made this memorable Breast Cancer Awareness Month display possible.
