Nancy Wallace
Nancy Wallace, 77, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on July 1, 2026. She was born on March 27, 1949.
Nancy was a graduate of Celina High School, Class of 1967, and went on to earn a degree in Social Work from Bluffton College. She dedicated more than 40 years of her life to serving others through social work, spending much of her career as a nursing home ombudsman. She was a passionate advocate for residents' rights and worked tirelessly to ensure that those facing difficult circumstances were heard, respected, and supported. Nancy believed everyone deserved someone in their corner and never hesitated to challenge the status quo when she felt it was necessary. She wasn't afraid to stir up a little "good trouble" in the pursuit of fairness and justice for others.
In addition to her professional career, Nancy enjoyed serving her community as a poll worker during local elections.
Nancy was preceded in death by her daughter, Nicole Wallace; her parents, Paul and Della Brock; brother, Donald Brock; sister-in-law, Patty Brock; and brother-in-law, Joe Crimble.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Craig; her three beloved grandchildren, Emma, Vanessa, and Grant; her sister, Betty Crimble; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family members and friends who will cherish the fun memories they shared with her.
Nancy lived a quiet life, but one filled with purpose. She found meaning in standing beside those who needed someone in their corner and spent her career helping people navigate some of life's most challenging moments with dignity and compassion.
Her grandchildren were the joy of her life. Nothing made her smile more than watching them grow, and they brought her a happiness that was unmistakable. To them, she will always be remembered as their "Fun Grandma"-the grandma who loved them unconditionally, celebrated them wholeheartedly, and filled their lives with laughter and special memories.
She will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
The family extends its heartfelt gratitude to the Celina Emergency Medical Services for their compassionate care and kindness.
Friends and Family may call at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, on Wednesday, July 15th, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., with FuneralServices to begin at 1:00. Burial will follow at Swamp College Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to local social service organizations that serve the Celina community, continuing Nancy's lifelong commitment to helping others.
