Cyclosporiasis, a gastrointestinal illness caused by a microscopic parasite, is found on contaminated food, especially raw produce. In past outbreaks, it has been associated with herbs and berries that you wouldn't cook before ingesting. ODH urged Ohioans this week to take extra precautions when handling fruits and vegetables.
