Two-vehicle wreck
Photo by William Kincaid/The Daily Standard

At about 1 p.m. Sunday, Robert McKee of Celina was operating a 1986 Chevy truck that was pulling a trailer containing two lawnmowers, westbound on Fairground Road. McKee reportedly advised Mercer County Sheriff's Office deputies that his breaks had gone out, according to a sheriff's office spokesperson. McKee reportedly was unable to stop at the stop sign and pulled out into the intersection of State Route 118 and struck a 2021 Chevy Express van being driven northbound by Jeffrey Rutschilling of Celina. A squad was called to the scene but no information about potential injuries was available by press time.
