Constance Kiel
Constance L. Kiel, 93, of Saint Marys, Ohio, died 12:36 P.M. Tuesday, April 28, 2026, at the Roselawn Manor Nursing Home in Spencerville.
She was born June 11, 1932, in Fort Wayne, Indiana, the daughter of Ford and Florence (Sunday) Goodrich. She married Richard Kiel on June 27, 1953, at Zion Lutheran Church, Ft. Wayne, Indiana; and he preceded her in death.
She is survived by her sons: David (Dorothy) Kiel of Saint Marys; Gregg (Lisa) Kiel of Elida, Ohio; by her son-in-law, Karl Lengerich of New Bremen. She is survived by her grandchildren: Angela Ahlers; Nicholas (Kim) Kiel; Erika (Andrew) Knapke; Kylee (Cody) Fleming; Daniel Lengerich. She is also survived by her great-grandchildren: Gavin Ahlers; Mason Ahlers; Isaiah Knapke; Elias Knapke.
She is survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Richard; her daughter, Susan Lengerich; by her brother, Paul Goodrich; by her sister-in-law, Carol Wagner.
Constance was a 1951 graduate of Central High School in Ft. Wayne. She was a homemaker and had worked in the McBroom Junior High School cafeteria for 20 years.
She had been a 4-H advisor for many years, teaching many young people how to sew. She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and taking her dog for long walks along Grand Lake St. Marys. She was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Saint Marys.
Funeral rites will be held 1:00 P.M. Wednesday, May 6, 2026, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Pastor Heidi Yahl, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 11:00 A.M. until the time of services on Wednesday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to either Zion Lutheran Church; the Auglaize County Dog Warden to provide medical care for dogs, or to St. Jude Children' s Hospital.
