David Quilling
David Scott Quilling, 66, of Allentown, passed away Friday, March 20, 2026, at his residence. He was the husband of Ann M. (Walter) Quilling to whom he was married 40 years. Born in Celina, Mercer County, OH, June 27, 1959, Scott was the son of David Lewis Quilling and the late Sharon Rae (Monroe) Quilling.
He was employed as a sales representative at Mersman Tables, followed by Benchcraft and Berkline Furniture for 26 years and ended his career in retail. Scott was a member of Jordan United Church of Christ, Allentown.
Scott was a graduate and multi-sport athlete of Celina High School class of 1977 and prideful graduate of The Ohio State University earning his BSBA in Marketing. He was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity and a lifelong supporter of their football program having been a walk-on Punter during his time there.
Scott passed away leaving behind a legacy defined by love, dedication, and an enduring passion for life's simple joys. He was a man who thrived in staying active, whether spending time on the golf course or competing in men's basketball leagues, where his energy and camaraderie left lasting impressions on teammates and friends alike.
Above all else, Scott was deeply devoted to his family and wife Ann. He took immense pride in coaching his sons, Ryan and Marc, guiding them not only in athletics but in life. As their coach, mentor, and unwavering supporter, he was always their biggest fan-celebrating their victories, encouraging them through challenges, and standing beside them in whatever paths they chose to pursue.
In later years, Scott discovered what he often described as his greatest joy: being a grandfather. His love for his grandchildren-Chase, Alivia, and Allison-was boundless. He cherished every moment spent with them, finding happiness in their laughter, growth, and the special bond they shared.
Scott will be remembered for his smile, his steady presence, and the way he showed up for the people he loved. His legacy lives on through his family, the lessons he taught, and the countless memories he helped create.
