This 1966 photo shows the Gemini 8 spacecraft being lifted for transport at Naha Air Base. Ron McQueeney, an Army veteran and professional photographer, took pictures following Gemini 8's emergency splashdown near Okinawa, Japan. McQueeney's widow donated the photos to the Armstrong Air and Space Museum in Wapakoneta.
