Light snow will overspread the area from the northwest this morning. An increased coverage of snow showers is expected to develop this afternoon into the evening hours. Slick spots may develop on roads tonight as temperatures drop and northwest winds gust up to 30 mph. Coverage of snow showers is expected to decrease overnight before ending Monday morning. Most the area will see an accumulation of 1 to 2 inches. Locally higher amounts are possible in areas where heavier snow bands develop this afternoon into early evening.
Roadways may become slick. If traveling, be alert, slow down and allow extra time to reach your destination.

Paul Osterfeld
Paul Osterfeld, age 101 of Coldwater, passed away Thursday, February 19, 2026 at Briarwood Village in Coldwater.
He was born on January 17, 1925 in Coldwater to the late John & Clara (Kessen) Osterfeld. On June 5, 1948, he married Roseann (Pfeffenberger) and she preceded him in death on August 5, 2006.
He is survived by his children, Paul II and Paula Osterfeld of Coldwater, David Osterfeld of Columbus, Gary & Jeanne Osterfeld of Coldwater, and Joyce & Michael Homan of Greenville, 14 grandchildren, 29 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by siblings and in-laws, Robert Osterfeld, Thomas & Alma Osterfeld, Marie & Eugene Schilling, Robert & Dottie Lochtefeld, Arthur & Verla Pfeffenberger, Mary Pfeffenberger, Margaret Pfeffenberger, Lawrence & Erma Fifer, Wilber & Irene LePage, Philip & Lucille Schmidt, Linus & Hazel Pfeffenberger, Louis & Rose Pfeffenberger, Albert & Vicky Pfeffenberger, and Alfred & Vera Pfeffenberger.
He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. He retired from New Idea after working his way up to a Chiefs Draftsmen position. He was a social member of the Coldwater American Legion, Coldwater VFW and Coldwater Eagles. Paul was an avid outdoorsman. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, canoeing, walking through the woods and traveling. Paul was a very wise man and a great conversationalist.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, February 23, 2026, at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater.
Friends may call from 1PM to 4PM on Sunday, February 22, and on Monday from 9 AM to 10 AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in Coldwater.
