* IMPACTS...Significant visibility reductions to near zero at times will necessitate extra caution for commuters through late morning. Temperatures below freezing in some areas will increase the threat for icy patches on elevated roadways.

Thomas Fisher
Thomas R. Fisher, age 70, of rural Portland, Indiana, passed away on Wednesday, February 11, 2026, at IU Health Ball Memorial Hospital in Muncie, Indiana.
He was born on May 31, 1955, in Celina, Ohio to the late Edgar and Martha (Breymaier) Fisher.
In addition to his parents, Tom was preceded in death by his brother, James Fisher; and his brother-in-law, Dale Wycuff.
Tom is survived by his siblings, Michael (Charlene) Fisher of Fort Recovery, Alice Wycuff of Celina, and Ivan Fisher of rural Portland; his sister-in-law, Sue Fisher; his nieces and nephews, Shannon (Deb) Wycuff, Jeremiah Wycuff, Philip (Nikki) Wycuff, Amanda Wycuff, Mike Fisher Jr., Kirsten (Lucas) Welch, Kelly (Dan) Johnson, Josh (Melody) Fisher, Tessy Coy, Beverly Thwaits; and numerous great nieces and nephews.
Tom was a 1974 graduate of Fort Recovery High School. Alongside his brother Ivan, they ran and operated Fisher Brother Junk Yard and farmed for many years. Tom was a lifetime member of the Tri-State Gas and Engine Show. He had a deep appreciation for Chevy trucks and antique tractors, especially Farmalls.
A celebration of Tom's life will be held at 5:00 PM, Sunday, February 22, 2026, at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
Guests may visit with his family on Sunday from 2:00 PM until the start of the service at 5:00 PM at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Salamonia Fire Department or the Tri-State Gas and Engine Show in memory of Tom.
