Sandy Green, 71, of Clarks Hill, South Carolina, (formerly of Celina) died January 14, 2026. She passed peacefully with family at home after a 10 year cancer battle. Sandy was born December 19, 1954, in Bluffton Ind., to Harold and Rosemary Green, who both preceded her in death.

Sandy leaves behind a son, Cory M. (Christie) Hays of Jacksonville, Fla., and a daughter Cari M. Hays (Harold Burger) of Dearborn Heights Mi., 4 grandsons Zachary Morris, Justin Hays, Trent Stephens, and Asa Hays, 3 great-grandchildren, Jackson, Remi and River, numerous nieces and nephews, 4 rescue dogs, and a lifetime of friends who will all miss her immensely.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by a grandson, Colin M. W. Flynn, 3 brothers Howard D. Green, Stephen M. Green, and Garth T. Green as well as a sister Evelyn L. Green- Povisil.

Because Sandy spent most of her life picking up and rescuing stray and homeless dogs, the family requests in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to your local animal rescue or Humane Society.
