John Rosenbeck
John W. Rosenbeck, age 74, of Ft Loramie, peacefully passed away in his sleep on November 30 after a short illness. He was born to the late Urban and Martha (Homan) Rosenbeck on June 17, 1951 in Coldwater, Ohio. On April 15, 1977, he married his wife Marilyn (Guggenbiller) whom he shared 48 years of happiness with.
John is survived by his four children: Katie of Ellisville, Missouri, Philip of Newport, Maria of Fayetteville, Georgia, and Paul of Houston. He was also the proud grandfather of four grandchildren: Reese, Jac, Ava, and Bianca. John is also survived by his three sisters: Joan & Terry Brooke of Centerville, Mary & Steve Menchhofer of Rockbridge and Irene & John Siler of Dayton; mother in-law, Dorothy Guggenbiller of Ft. Recovery, in-laws, Rita & Fred Barga of Rossburg, Carolyn & Steven Hoelscher of Ft. Loramie, John & Donna Guggenbiller of Hamilton, Donald & Julie Guggenbiller of Ft. Recovery, Michael & Jane Guggenbiller of Wooster, Gary & Jane Guggenbiller of Pataskala, Ann & Paul Niemeyer of South Lebanon, and Loretta Rosenbeck of Versailles; and numerous nieces & nephews.
John was preceded in death by his brothers & sisters-in-laws, Victor & Della Mae Rosenbeck, Viro Rosenbeck, Arnold & Dianne Rosenbeck, Elmer Rosenbeck and Jerome Rosenbeck; and father-in-law, Norman Guggenbiller.
A 1971 graduate from Ansonia High School, John's first job was at Eldora Speedway where he did everything from planting trees to racing cars. He started his career as a mechanic at General Highway Express & Wabash Garage and later worked at Barnum Warehouse until he retired. John will forever be remembered for his amazing talent to fix anything with an engine from lawnmowers to semi-trucks. He spent his free time restoring vintage tractors, watching classic Westerns, attending races with his sons, traveling Europe with his wife & daughters, and teaching his grandkids how to ride bikes and drive tractors.
May he rest in peace, reunited with those who went before him, and welcomed into the loving arms of the Lord.
A private memorial service will be held at a later date. Funeral arrangements are being handled through the Jamieson & Yannucci Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that donations be made to St Vincent de Paul in his memory. Guestbook condolences and expressions of sympathy, to be provided to the family, may be expressed through jamiesonandyannucci.com.
