* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:40 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall slowly this afternoon, falling below flood stage later this evening. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Jeffrey Heckman
Jeffrey M. Heckman, age 77, of New Bremen, Ohio, died on Thursday, November 13, 2025 at his home in New Bremen.
He was born on March 10, 1948 in Sidney, Ohio to the late Robert J. & Joan (Heinl) Heckman. He married Gladys Heitkamp on August 14, 1971 and she preceded him in death on September 21, 2004. He married Anne Palmer Newcomb on December 17, 2005 and she survives in New Bremen.
He is also survived by children: Stacie & Ben Ernst, Dublin, Shawn & Shannon Heckman, New Bremen, Rhonda & Peter Beck, New Bremen, Ryan & Kelli Heckman, New Bremen, 15 grandchildren, stepchildren; Leslie Newcomb, Loveland, Scott & Kelly Newcomb, Celina, sisters & brother: Linda & Jimmy Eddins, Pensacola, FL, Angie & Tom Niemeyer, Minster, Ted & Carol Heckman, Minster.
Jeff was a member of Holy Redeemer Catholic Church, New Bremen and a former member of St. Augustine Church, Minster. He was a graduate of Minster High School, University of Cincinnati in 1973. He was proud to have worked at Crown Equipment for 35 years and a member of the Army Reserve. Jeff had a warm heart and smile that had a way of making everyone feel at home. He never knew a stranger, and his door was always open. An entertainer through and through, he loved sharing stories, laughter, and good company.
A collector of many things and memories, he found joy in life's simple pleasures. Traveling was one of his greatest passions, and Florida was his happy place. His generosity, humor, and welcoming spirit touched everyone who knew him, and his memory will continue to shine in the lives he loved.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10:00 AM Tuesday, November 18, 2025 at St. Augustine Catholic Church, Minster with burial to follow in St. Augustine Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, on Monday, November 17, 2025 from 3 to 7 PM and on Tuesday, November 18 from 9:00 AM to 9:30 AM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Grand Lake Hospice, American Heart Association and OUR HOME.
