* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

James Reed
James Joseph Reed, age 83 of Celina, Ohio passed away peacefully on Monday, Oct. 6, 2025 at the Devine Nursing Home at Shane Hill in Rockford.
He was born the son of the late Joseph H. and Gladys Lucille (Howick) Reed on January 10, 1942 in Celina, Ohio. On June 22,1968, he married Patricia Houchins, who died in 1999.
He is survived by his son James Joseph (Debbie) Reed II of Rockford. He leaves behind his loving granddaughter Kyla Reed of Omaha, NE and great grandson Cayde Graham of Omaha, NE. He is also survived by his sister Susan Reed of Celina and his brothers Nick Reed of Lake Placid, FL, Richard (Linda) Schoonover of Celina.
In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by his sister-in-law Nancy Reed and his brother Fredric May.
James Graduated from Celina High School with the Class of 1960. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy from 1961 until 1967. He was stationed on the U. S. Little Rock light cruiser at it's home port in Villa, France. After serving his country he lived in Dayton, were he met his wife. While in Dayton he was employed as a steel worker and was the ordering manager at Huffy Bicycle in Dayton, until he moved back to Celina. He retired from Parker Hannifin Cylinder Plant in St. Marys in 2003.
James found great enjoyment walking, biking and being by the lake. Listening to music was his favorite past-time.
A Graveside Service will be held at 1:00p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 16, 2025 in the North Grove Cemetery, with Rev. Craig Flack officiating. Military Honors will be provided at the graveside service by the Celina American Legion Post #210 and the Celina V. F. W. Post #5713.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to EverHeart Hospice 1350 N. Broadway St. Greenville, Ohio 45331 or the Alzheimer's Association Northwest Ohio Chapter 480 W. Dussel Dr. Suite 140, Maumee, Ohio 43537.
