Virginia Brewer
Virginia "Ginny" Brewer, age 93, of Celina, passed away peacefully on September 19, 2025, at Miller Place in Celina.
She was born on July 28, 1932, in Celina, to the late Edward and Margaret (Laderman) Linn. On June 13, 1954, she married Ronald "Ron" J. Brewer, who preceded her in death on August 23, 2006.
Ginny is survived by her children, Cynthia (Mark) Hebert of Plymouth, Massachusetts, Elizabeth (Jim) Tonra of Wilmington, Massachusetts, and Scott (Nancy) Brewer of Wilmington, North Carolina; nine grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and her sister, Mary Dieringer of Celina.
She was also preceded in death by her sister, Martha (Jim) Fisher; an infant sister, Dorothy Mae Linn; and her brother-in-law, Eugene Dieringer.
A 1950 graduate of Celina High School, Ginny went on to earn her associate degree in business and her bachelor's degree in accounting from North Shore Community College in Beverly, Massachusetts. Over the years, she worked as a preschool teacher, at the Kelly Girl Employment Agency as an accountant, and in several other accounting positions. Above all, she devoted her life to being a loving and dedicated homemaker.
Ginny had a love for playing cards, especially Canasta and Pinochle with her card clubs. She enjoyed crafting, sewing, traveling the world, and spending time with her family. Her strong faith in God was a guiding light throughout her life.
She was a member of St. John Lutheran Church in Celina and the Celina Chapter #91 Order of Eastern Star.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, September 29, 2025, at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina, with Minister Mary Miller officiating. Prior to the service, family and friends may gather from 9:30 a.m.-10:30 a.m. at the funeral home.
Eastern Star services will be conducted at the beginning of the funeral. Burial will follow at North Grove Cemetery in Celina.
