Cinda Cook
Cinda Cook, age 86, of Celina, died on Sunday, September 7th, at Briarwood Village in Coldwater, OH.
She was born on April 8, 1939, in Celina, to the late Dwight "Jack" & Minnie (Brehm) Laffin. On June 14, 1958, she married Robert "Cookie" Cook, who passed away on March 30, 2025.
She is survived by her children: Lisa Eskew of Dayton, Teresa (Dave) Fleck of Cumming, GA, and Michelle (Rob) Homan of Maria Stein; 4 grandchildren: Olivia (Michael) Thomas of Durham, NC, Isaiah (Blair) Fleck of Fayetteville, NC, Sophia Homan of Maria Stein, and Spencer (Emily) Homan of McCartyville; 4 great-grandchildren: Eliana and Mariana Thomas, and Stella, Cecilia, and Baby Boy Fleck on the way; sibling: Trude Laffin of Celina, OH; in-laws: Dan Osterloh of Celina, OH, Pam Laffin of Celina, OH, Gloria Laffin of Rockford, OH, Sally (John) Wannemacher of Troy, OH, Rebecca (Dan) Dumbauld of Zionsville, IN, Elizabeth Frushour of Bowling Green, OH, Mary Alice Cook of Sidney, OH, Sharon Cook of Columbus, OH, Jean Cook of Dothan, AL, and Cathy Cook of Napoleon, OH: and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her son in-law, Thomas Eskew, siblings: Jannis Fisher Osterloh, Darrel "Doc" Laffin, and Dennis Laffin; in-laws: Grant Sr. & Lena (Snyder) Cook, Rosalyn Cook, Grant Jr. & Betty Cook, Denny "Mike" Cook, Carl & Dorothy Cook, William "Clark" Cook, Don Cook, Kathryn & Robert Crider, Benjamin Cook, Dale Fisher, and Jack Conley.
Cinda worked in the Celina City Schools as a secretary for 26 years. She was a member of the St. Paul's Country Church of Rockford, OH. She enjoyed spending time with family. You could always find Cinda in the kitchen either making bread or getting ready to can something She spent the past 66 years married to the love of her life, until his passing in March.
A Service of Christian Burial will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, September 12th, at St. Paul's Country Church of Rockford. Pastor Mike Husted will officiate. Burial will follow at the Church Cemetery.
Family and Friends may call at W.H. Dick & Sons-Hellwarth Funeral Home in Celina, from 3:00 to 7:00 PM, Thursday, September 11th, and an hour before Services on Friday, at St. Paul's Country Church.
