* WHERE...St. Marys River at Rockford.
* WHEN...Until Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...At 13.0 feet, State Route 117 near Route 118 north of Rockford is water-covered and closed.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 4:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 12.9 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this evening. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

* WHERE...Portions of Indiana, including the following counties, Dearborn, Fayette, Franklin, Ripley, Union and Wayne and Ohio, including the following counties, Adams, Auglaize, Brown, Butler, Champaign, Clark, Clermont, Clinton, Darke, Delaware, Fairfield, Fayette, Franklin, Greene, Hamilton, Hardin, Highland, Hocking, Licking, Logan, Madison, Mercer, Miami, Montgomery, Pickaway, Pike, Preble, Ross, Scioto, Shelby, Union and Warren.
* WHEN...From 7 PM EDT this evening through Monday morning.
* IMPACTS...Excessive runoff may result in flooding of rivers, creeks, streams, and other low-lying and flood-prone locations.
* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Showers and thunderstorms producing heavy rain will impact the area overnight. Rainfall totals of 1 to 3 inches are expected with locally higher amounts. The heavy rain combined with saturated ground will lead to potential flash flooding.

Patricia Broerman
Patricia A. "Pat" Broerman, 92, of rural New Bremen, died on Sunday, August 10, 2025 at 1:45 A.M. at the Otterbein Senior Lifestyles Community in St. Marys. She was born on January 4, 1933 in Cranberry Prairie, the daughter of the late Joseph H. and Mary E. (Evers) Hartings. She married Alfred M. Broerman on June 9, 1956, and he preceded her in death on February 6, 2009.
Surviving are her children: Debra (Kent) Stiger of Pittsburgh, PA, Jeffrey (Denise) Broerman of Lakeview, Susan (John) Borchers of Troy, and Robert Broerman of New Bremen, and her seven loving grandchildren. Also left to cherish her memory are her siblings: Betty Romer of St. Henry, Linus (Carol) Hartings of Coldwater; and her in-laws: Freda Hartings of Carthagena, Frank Broerman of Brandt, and Roseanne Broerman of Ft. Loramie. Along with her parents and husband, Pat was preceded in death by a daughter in-law Jacqui Broerman, as well as her siblings: Evelyn Bertke, Thelma Broerman, Lester Hartings, Virginia Hartings, Virgil Hartings, Ernest Hartings, and Myron Hartings.
Pat graduated from St. Henry High School. She was a member of the Church of the Holy Redeemer in New Bremen. She was a co-owner, bookkeeper, and was the business manager for Al Broerman Trucking Company alongside of her husband for many years, and later with her son, until her retirement in 2018 at the age of 85.
Outside of working, she greatly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and following their various activities, gardening, and working outside. She liked to go out to eat and attend craft shows, and she was an avid OSU Buckeyes, Cincinnati Bengals and Cincinnati Reds fan who could often be found providing her thoughts while watching the game. Pat and Al took many trips to Las Vegas where she loved to gamble and play video poker. She was also in several card clubs where she enjoyed the social company of her friends while playing euchre and shanghai.
A funeral liturgy service will be celebrated on Saturday, August 23, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home with Deacon Ken Wuebker, celebrant.
Interment will follow in German Protestant Cemetery of New Bremen. Calling hours will be held on Friday, August 22, 2025 from 3:30 until 7:30 P.M. at the Gilberg-Hartwig Funeral Home in New Bremen and again on Saturday morning one hour prior to the service.
