* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Karen Stucke
Karen Ann (Mendenhall) Stucke, age 66 of Coldwater, died Friday, August 15, 2025, at the Lutheran Hospital in Ft. Wayne, Indiana. She was born on October 24, 1958, in Coldwater to Mildred (Mick) Mendenhall of Coldwater and the late Ron Mendenhall. On May 31, 1985, in Coldwater, she married Myron Stucke, who survives her in Coldwater.
She is survived by children, Wade & Tori Stucke of Westerville, Tasha & Zach Floro of Elmore, Haley & Joe Thomas of Coldwater, and Shannon Stucke of Long Beach, California; grandchildren, Carson, Nolan, and Millie Stucke, Brielle and Mack Floro, and Louie, Blake, and Michaela Thomas; siblings, Brenda Mendenhall of Cincinnati, Denise Monahan & her partner Ricky Church of Ferguson, North Carolina, and Bruce Mendenhall of Dublin.
She is preceded in death by mother-in-law and father-in-law, Imelda & Roman Stucke.
She was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church. She retired from Celina City Schools, the Tri-Star Program, and JTPA after 35 years as an educator. Karen was a member of the Coldwater Eagles and Coldwater American Legion. She was known as a great cook, hostess, and as a giving person who always put others before herself. Karen loved her children and grandchildren, and passionately supported them in their many activities.
Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church. In lieu of traditional calling hours, all are welcome to join us for lunch and a celebration of life at the Coldwater Eagles from 12-4pm.
