Lana Grier
Lana Rose Grier, age 78, of Mendon, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on July 22, 2025, at Mercer Health in Coldwater.
She was born on February 1, 1947, in Willshire, Ohio, to the late Hilton and Rose Mary (Huffman) Miller. On November 29, 1969, she married the love of her life, Jim Grier, Sr., who survives at their home in Mendon.
Lana is also survived by her children, Jame (Fec Lomotos) Grier, Jr. of Mendon and Brenda (Henry) Goday of Iowa; two grandchildren; and three great grandchildren; her brothers and sisters, Kenny (Shirley) Miller of Rockford, Larry Miller of Indiana, Becky Burris of Huntington, Indiana, Jean Sudduth of Berne, Indiana, and Rex (Becky) Miller of Rockford; and a brother-in-law, Bill (Cindy) Grier of Mendon.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother-in-law, Larry Grier.
Lana dedicated 25 years of service to Ohio City Manufacturing and later retired from Universal Lettering in Van Wert after more than 11 years. She was a devoted member of Mercer Methodist Church in Mercer. A talented seamstress at heart, she found joy in creating, reading her favorite books, and collecting Native American artifacts.
Honoring Lana's wishes, private services will be held at the convenience of her family.
