David Boise
David E. Boise, age 78, of Wapakoneta, passed away peacefully on July 10, 2025 at his home.
David was born on June 4, 1947, in Celina to the late Olen & Helen (Woodruff) Boise. David married Marlene (Dwenger), his wife of 58 years, on April 7, 1967, at Immaculate Conception Church in Celina. Marlene survives at their home in Wapakoneta.
David is also survived by two children, Renee (Boise) & Raul Fernandez of Naperville, IL and Stacey Boise of Columbus; granddaughter, Claire Fernandez and great grandson, Bryson Fernandez, both of Naperville, IL; brother, Terry & Melanie Boise of Canal Winchester; five sibling-in-law, Jim & Marilyn Dwenger of Spring Hill, FL, Joe & Nancy Dwenger of Rockford, Mike & Bernice Fleck of Napolean, Richard Dwenger of Greenville and Tom & Julie Dwenger of Lebanon, TN; along with numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, David is preceded in death by his sister, Linda Ellinger; and three sibling-in-laws, Joseph & Dolores Dwenger, Hank & Sally Mowery and Larry & Betty Bertke.
David was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, in Wapakoneta. He had a 24-year career in the banking industry. Additionally, he was a business instructor at Northwestern College (University of Northwestern Ohio). David was a proud 1965 graduate of Celina Senior High School. He earned his Associate's Degree from Wright State University's Lake Campus, Bachelor's Degree from Bluffton College and his Masters of Business Administration Degree from Ashland College (Ashland University).
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, July 16, 2025, at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Celina. Father Andrew O'Reilly, C.P.P.S. will officiate and burial will follow in St. Mary's Catholic Cemetery, Celina.
Family and friends may call from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 15, 2025, at Schlosser Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Wapakoneta.
Memorial contributions may be directed to the Parkinson's Foundation in David's memory.
