* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Margorie Durkee
Margorie I. Durkee, age 83, of St. Marys, passed away peacefully, surrounded by her loving family, on July 8, 2025, at St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
She was born on November 25, 1941, on the family farm in Neptune, Ohio, to the late Vernon and Grace (Warfield) Schmidt, Sr. On September 11, 1971, she married the love of her life, Larry G. Durkee, who survives at their home in St. Marys.
Marge is also survived by her beloved son, Mike (Dixie) Durkee of St. Marys; three cherished grandchildren, Jason (Krystal) Durkee of Spencerville, Andrew (Meg Fillinger) Durkee of El Paso, Texas, and Nick (Megan) Durkee of Fairborn; and four treasured great-grandchildren: Liam, Lilly, Lane, and Levi.
She was also preceded in death by her three brothers: Vernon Schmidt Jr., Charles William Schmidt, and Guy Schmidt.
A 1959 graduate of Celina High School, Marge worked for many years in retail throughout the St. Marys and Celina areas. Alongside her husband Larry, she proudly owned and operated Sands Donut Shop in St. Marys.
Marge attended Wayne Street Church in St. Marys and was an active member of the Ohio Good Sams Camping Club and Moon Walkers Chapter #68. She had a warm and giving spirit, a love for traveling and camping, and spent countless joyful moments RVing with Larry.
As a dedicated volunteer fire chief's wife, Marge served her community for over 20 years by supporting St. Marys Township fire crews during major emergencies-bringing refreshments and comfort to the firefighters on the scene. She had a big heart and a deep love for her family, especially her grandchildren, whom she adored and lovingly spoiled.
Funeral services will be held at 12:00 Noon on Saturday, July 12, 2025, at Cisco Funeral Home in St. Marys, located at 1175 E. Greenville Rd, with Pastor Tim Benjamin officiating.     
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM to Noon prior to the service. Guests are kindly asked to dress casually in Marge's honor.
Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens in St. Marys.
Memorial contributions may be made to Grand Lake Hospice in St. Marys.
