Dolores Schmehl
Dolores Ann Schmehl, 94, of Saint Marys, died 6:40 P.M. Friday, June 6, 2025, at St Ritas Medical Center, Lima. She was born August 2, 1930, in Lima, the daughter of Otto and Ethel (Wistner) Etter.
She married Lee Schmehl on November 20, 1948; he preceded her in death on September 25, 2003.
She is survived by her children: Vickie (Wesley) Lewis of Lima; Lee Ann (Kurt) Jenkins of Saint Marys; Kristine (Jerry) Freels of New Bremen; Ireta (Jeff) Hegemier of Hudson, Ohio; Jerry Lee Schmehl of Saint Marys; Bruce (Carol) Schmehl of Saint Marys; Tony (Renee) Schmehl of Saint Marys; by 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; 15 great-great-grandchildren. She is survived by her sister-in-law Barb Doseck of New Knoxville; her brother-in-law Dave Schmehl of Saint Marys.
She was preceded in death by her husband; by her siblings Norman Howell and Gordon Etter; by her grandsons Garet Schmehl; Dustin Schmehl; Robert Schmehl; by her son, Terry Lee Schmehl.
Dolores was a 1948 graduate of Saint Marys Memorial High School. She was a homemaker and she dearly loved her family. She enjoyed camping, and making porcelain dolls, as she was very crafty. She was a member of Walnut Grove Methodist Church.

Funeral rites will be held 12:00 noon on Tuesday, June 10, 2025, at the Miller Funeral Home, 1605 Celina Road, Saint Marys, Pastor Andrew Atkins, officiant. Burial will follow at Elm Grove Cemetery.
Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. until the time of services on Tuesday at the funeral home, where memorial gifts may be given to Walnut Grove Methodist Church.
