* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Dorothy Dennings
Dorothy June Dennings, 99, of St. Marys, OH died 8:00 a.m. Friday May 16, 2025 at Vancrest of St. Marys.
She was born October 22, 1925 in Wapakoneta, OH to Harry and Cecil (Terwilliger) Valentine. On April 5, 1944 she married Ralph William Dennings, who preceded her in death August 26, 2019.
Survivors include: son Gary W. Dennings of St. Marys, OH; daughter Christy (Gary) Wibbeler of St. Marys, OH; 3 grandchildren: Andy (Elizabeth) Dennings, Matt (Angela) Wibbeler, Alison (Jody) Poff; and 8 great-grandchildren: Drew Dennings, Zane Dennings, Reese Dennings, Calahan Dennings, Morgan Poff, Jada Poff, Roman Poff, River Poff.
Preceded in death by: parents Harry and Cecil Valentine; husband Ralph Dennings; great-granddaughter Jersey Poff, sister Helen Maxine Price; and sister Donna Jean Rohrbach.
She was a graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School (Class of 1943). An expert in secretarial skills, she received several awards in recognition of her proficiency in "shorthand" dictation. A skilled bookkeeper, she was employed first at Goodyear Tire & Rubber Co. and at the St. Marys Hardware for 54 years.
She was a member of Wayne Street Methodist Church. Her favorite pastimes included shopping, having long telephone conversations with her many friends and spoiling her granddog, 'Sam". Dorothy also enjoyed crocheting afghans for each of her grandchildren and baking old fashioned cream pies.
Funeral Rites are scheduled to begin at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday May 20, 2025 at the Wayne Street Church 130 N. Wayne Street in St. Marys. Burial will follow at the Elm Grove Cemetery in St. Marys.
Visitation 10:00 - 11:30 a.m. on Tuesday at the Church.
