Debra Kunkler
Debra P. (Lotz) Kunkler, age 55, of St. Henry, passed away peacefully on Monday evening, May 12, 2025, at her home with her family by her side.
She was born February 25, 1970, in Cincinnati. Deb is the daughter of the late Val & Joan (Stammen) Groff. Deb was a devoted wife to Christopher Kunkler, whom she married on April 6, 1991. Together, they built a loving family and life in St. Henry.
Deb is survived by her husband Chris, as well as their four children and their spouses: Ashley & Kevin Fullenkamp of St. Henry, Eric & Becky Kunkler of St. Henry, D.J. & Chloe Kunkler of Coldwater, and Allison & Kevin Mestemaker of Burkettsville. She was the loving and caring grandmother to nine grandchildren, Cooper, Reece, Owen, Vivian, Isla, Calvin, Rita, Freya, and Elsie. Deb is also survived by three siblings and their spouses: Vickie & Chuck Broerman, Kathy & Larry Schmitmeyer, Sherry & Jim Myers, and Kunkler family in-laws: Andrew & Kelly Kunkler, Kenneth & Sandy Kunkler, Charles & Carol Kunkler, Elaine & Jeffrey Muhlenkamp, Susan & Doug Niekamp, Sarah & Douglas Franck, Judith & Shannon Grieshop, Nancy & Timothy Mescher, Cherie & Chris Puthoff, Barbara & Andrew Gast, Donna & Chris Rindler, Steven Kunkler, and Thomas & Brittany Kunkler, and many nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents Deb is preceded in death by her father and mother-in-law, Donald & JoAnn Kunkler.
Deb grew up in North Star and was a 1988 graduate of Versailles High School. She was employed as a Public Relations Coordinator at Honda in Anna. Deb loved to socialize with family and friends, always planning an event or outing to get everyone together. She truly never knew a stranger. Deb also enjoyed baking and spoiling her grandchildren any chance she got. Deb was member of St. Henry Catholic Church.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, May 17, at St. Henry Catholic Church. Following the funeral mass, burial will take place at St. Henry Cemetery.
Friends and family may call from 2:00pm - 8:00pm on Friday, May 16, and from 9:00am - 10:00am on Saturday, May 17, at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry.
Those who wish to honor Deb's memory may consider making a charitable contribution to the Cancer Association of Mercer County.
