Gregory McEldowney
Gregory C. McEldowney, age 51, of Fort Recovery, Ohio, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, May 2, 2025, in Jay County, Indiana.
He was born on August 28, 1973, in Greenville, Ohio, to Rita (Siegrist) McEldowney of Fort Recovery and the late Mark McEldowney.
In addition to his mother, Greg is survived by his siblings, Chris McEldowney of Fort Recovery, Michelle (Mark) Pleiman of Versailles, Mindy (Duke) Luster of Fort Recovery, and Terry (Jamie) McEldowney of Fort Recovery; his sister-in-law, Jackie McEldowney of Versailles; his nieces and nephews, Kevin, Astasia, Kenia, Kennedy, Noah, Austin, Aaron, Ryan, Ariel, Maverick, Clayton, Ava, Mia, Liam, Jayden, and Carmyn; and numerous aunts, uncles, and friends.
A 1992 graduate of Fort Recovery High School, Greg pursued a career in wellness and healing, graduating from the Dayton School of Medical Massage. He devoted many years of his life to practicing as a massage therapist, where he touched the lives of many with his nurturing spirit and expert skills. Additionally, Greg embraced his artistic talents as a chef, delighting family and friends with his culinary creations.
Beyond his professional life, Greg had a rich personal life filled with hobbies and interests. He was an avid martial arts enthusiast, who found joy in the discipline and focus it provided. In his leisure time, he enjoyed playing video games, immersing himself in music, and watching movies that sparked his imagination and brought him happiness. Greg was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Sharpsburg and would often attend Mass at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Greenville.
Greg leaves behind a legacy of love and memories that will forever remain in the hearts of his family and friends. He will be missed dearly.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Thursday, May 8, 2025, at St. Paul's Catholic Church, with Father Alexander Witt celebrating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Guests may visit with Greg's family on Wednesday, May 7, 2025, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM, and again on Thursday from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM, at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
Memorial contributions may be given to the Nephrogenic Diabetes Insipidus Foundation.
