* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Donald Heckman
Donald R. (Don) Heckman, 83 of Greenville, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday April 23, 2025, at 11:50 PM at Wayne Healthcare.
He was born February 11, 1942, in St. Henry, Ohio, to Leander and Loretta (Braun) Heckman. On June 4, 1966, at Immaculate Conception Church, Celina, he married Marjorie A. Bollenbacher, who passed away on January 25, 2025.
Don is survived by his son, Christopher Heckman, of Greenville, a sister, Geraldine (James) Schmackers, and a number of nieces, nephews, cousins, and many friends.
Don is preceded in death by his parents, his wife, and his brother-in-law, Walter Bollenbacher.
Don graduated from St, Henry High School with the class of 1960. After graduation he started working at the Daily Standard as a linotype operator. He also went to Milo Bennett's School of Linotype in English, Indiana. In 1967 he went to New Idea Farm Equipment. He left in 1991 and worked on his own for a while. He also worked at Celina Lumber Company in the mill, Setex, J.C. Penney's and in 1993 went to work at Crown Equipment Corporation, New Bremen, until he retired in 2009.
Don and Marge with another couple helped organize a Neighborhood Crime Watch in their immediate area while living in Celina. While his son was in school, Don worked with the Scouts, helped with the band boosters in grade and high school. Don loved working outside and his cars.
Services for Don will be held on Monday April 28, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Zechar Bailey Funeral Home, Greenville, Ohio with Rev. Gary Oser officiating. Entombment will follow in Greenville Union Cemetery Mausoleum.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM on Monday at the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to Greenville Missionary Church or the American Heart Association.
