Joan Baugher
On Tuesday, April 15th, our beloved Joan Lee Baugher, of Lakeland, Florida (Originally Celina, Ohio), passed away at 92 years of age. Though her body was frail and tired, her spirit was full of life. She lived on her terms and was ready to leave when the Lord called her into His eternal care. Joan passed away peacefully, surrounded by family.
Joan was born in Auglaize County on March 14, 1933 to the late Harry and Leota Rogers (Coehick). There was never a dull moment with her. She was a big personality in a small package, and made an impact on everyone she encountered. She will be remembered for her delicious cooking, witty personality, her love for children and babies, and her enjoyment of shopping. Up until the end, her love for her family and sense of humor remained with her - memories shared, funnies made, and her love abounding. She was the true definition of a matriarch.
Joan is survived by her loving husband of 75 years, Herschel, sharing a love and a bond that everyone dreams of. She is also survived by her sister, Margie Hoenie. Her legacy will live on through her surviving children: Johnny L. Baugher, Vicki L. Ley (Kenneth), Cheryl A. Baugher, and Regina M. Lockhart (Douglas), as well as her 8 grandchildren, 19 great-grandchildren, and 4 great-great-grandchildren. Joan is preceded in death by her brothers William (Bill) and Herman Rogers, sister Marilyn Ballinger, and great-grandson Trevor Lee Hedrick.
We will forever adore and remember you, being at peace knowing you are now watching over us.
