Kirby Stetler
Kirby Daniel Stetler, 73, of rural Chattanooga, Ohio, died April 19, 2025, at Coldwater where he was a hospice patient.
He was born April 27, 1951 in Decatur, Indiana, the son of Kermit and Fern (Caffee) Stetler, both of whom preceded him in death. He was married on February 2,1973 to Judy Helen (Stephenson) and they enjoyed 52 years together. She survives along with their daughter, Jessica (Troy) Temple, and their six grandchildren: Liberty Temple, Ava Pond, Ethan Pond, Lyric Temple, Jenna Pond, and AnnaLee Temple. He is also survived by a sister, Nancy Symonds.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his other sister, Bonnie Lautzenheiser.
He was baptized and confirmed at Zion Lutheran Church in Chattanooga where he was an active member as he grew up, and then after marriage became a valued member of Chattanooga United Methodist Church. He was a 1969 graduate of Parkway High School and a 1973 graduate of Capital University. He retired as owner of Chatt Insurance Center. He loved Lionel trains, Ford Mustangs, and Harley Davidsons. Kirby had a passion for encouraging others in their faith. He enjoyed spending time with his dog Monet, and dearly loved to be with his family-especially his grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 2 PM Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at Ketcham Ripley Funeral Home, 111 West First Street, Rockford, Ohio, with Pastor Tom Brunstrup officiating.
Friends may call from 10 AM to 2 PM with the service following at 2. Interment will be at Zion Lutheran Cemetery in Chattanooga, near Zion Lutheran Church, 9764 State Route 49, Rockford, Ohio.
