Christopher "Chris" Greg Reed, age 67, of Celina, Ohio, passed away peacefully on April 8, 2025, surrounded by those who loved him most. Born on January 2, 1958, in Celina to the late Donald and Marilyn Reed, Chris lived a life marked by devotion to family, community, and the outdoors.

Chris was a man who found joy in the simple pleasures - fishing, the thrill of a good race, and the warmth of time shared with family. He was the proud owner and operator of Reed's Crappie Jigs in Celina, where his love of fishing became not only a business but a way to connect with others who shared his passion.

On January 7, 1978, Chris married his high school sweetheart, Kathy Naseman. Their love story was one of unwavering commitment and deep friendship. Together, they raised their son, Daniel Reed (Taylor) of Van Wert, OH, and later gained a grand-daughter Waverly Vanlandingham, who brought endless smiles to Chris's life.

Chris was also a proud member of his Native community, always staying connected to his heritage and finding ways to support and uplift others.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald and Marilyn Reed. He is survived by his loving wife of 47 years, Kathy Reed; his son and daughter-in-law, Daniel and Taylor Reed; cherished granddaughter, Waverly Vanlandingham; and his brothers, Brad Reed (Coldwater, OH), Kevin Reed (Coldwater, OH), Donald Reed (Bryan, IN), John Reed (Houston, TX), and Michael Laux (Fort Recovery, OH).

Chris's giving spirit continued even after his passing. He selflessly chose to donate his body to science through Wright State University's Boonshoft School of Medicine, in hopes of contributing to future medical advancements. He was also an organ donor, giving the gift of life and healing to others in their time of need.
