Dale Kaup
Dale H. Kaup, age 87, of St. Anthony, passed away peacefully with his family at his side on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Briarwood Village in Coldwater. He was born on January 1, 1938, in Celina, to the late John and Mary (Knoth) Kaup.
Dale is survived by his wife of 63 years, Donna (Hasenjager) Kaup, whom he married on April 19, 1961; his children, Randy (Cindy) Kaup of St. Henry, Tony (Deb) Kaup of Coldwater, Lori (Kerry) Pease of Celina, Jim (Sue) Kaup of Coldwater, Amy (Paul) Wenning of Coldwater, and Kelly (Ben) Sheetz of Fort Recovery; his 18 grandchildren and 20 great grandchildren; his sister, Irene Hein of Coldwater; his in-laws, Mike (Coleen) Hasenjager of Celina, Becky George of Virginia, Dave (Cheryl) Hasenjager of Celina, Jeff (Sue) Hasenjager of Celina, and Barb (Kevin) Miller of Celina; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Dale was preceded in death by his siblings and their spouses, Adrian "Doc" (Bernice) Kaup, Alvin (Alma) Kaup, and Floyd (Virginia) Kaup; and his brother-in-law, Mark Hein; his father and mother-in-law, Carl and Willidean (Riesen) Hasenjager; and his sister-in-law, Theresa.
Dale was an electrician and a co-founder of Mercer County Electric, Inc. in Fort Recovery. He was a member of St. Anthony Catholic Church and the men's sodality. Dale was an avid outdoorsman, a passion that he passed down to many of his children and grandchildren. Dale looked forward to going on hunting and fishing adventures with his family and friends. In his free time, Dale also enjoyed playing horseshoes and cards.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, March 24, 2025, at St. Anthony Catholic Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Guests may visit with Dale's family on Sunday, March 23, 2025, from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM and again on Monday from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM, at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
