Carlene Richmond
Carlene O. Richmond, 65, of Celina, passed away peacefully in the evening of Tuesday, March 11, 2025, at her residence, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on October 11, 1959, in Sidney, to Carl E. and Dicy E. (Anderson) Davis, Carlene entered the world with a spark that would brighten the lives of everyone she met. Her parents preceded her in death, welcoming her into eternal rest.
Carlene leaves behind her beloved husband of over four decades, Anthony (Tony) Richmond, with whom she shared a deeply rooted faith and partnership. She is survived by her four cherished children: Tiffany (Peter) Wang, Rachael (Michael) Pardon, Benjamin (Tiffany Lynn) Richmond, and Zachariah Richmond. Her eight grandchildren-Kaydance, Auggie, Toby, Lily, Isaac, Evan, Acacia, and Ezra. Carlene's legacy also lives on through her five siblings: Trent Davis, Dicy Webb, Brant Davis, Mark (Jayme) Davis, and Renie Kraft, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and extended family who adored her boundless energy and warmth. She was preceded in death by her sisters, Krystal Davis and Silvia, whom she now joins in the presence of the Lord.
A woman of unshakable faith, Carlene's love for God was the cornerstone of her life. Since 1981, she embraced her role as a pastor's wife with grace and enthusiasm, serving alongside Tony with a servant's heart. She thrived behind the scenes, ensuring that every church event, meal, or gathering reflected her love for her community and her Savior. Her faith was not just a belief but a vibrant force that guided her every action, from nurturing her family to welcoming strangers into her home with open arms.
Carlene's spirit was a gift to all who knew her. Fun, energetic, and endlessly spirited, she had a rare ability to uplift everyone around her. Her laughter was contagious-bright, bold, and full of joy. Carlene's warmth drew people in, turning acquaintances into friends and friends into family.
Her love for her husband, Tony, was a beautiful testament to partnership and devotion. Together, they weathered life's storms and celebrated its triumphs, always anchored by their shared faith and mutual admiration. To her children and grandchildren, Carlene was a rock, a cheerleader, and a source of endless inspiration. She poured her heart into raising her family, delighting in their milestones and showering them with affection. Her grandchildren, in particular, brought out her playful side-she was their biggest fan, their storyteller, and their partner in mischief.
Visitation will be on Tuesday from 4 to 7 P.M. at Cromes-Edwards Funeral Home and on Wednesday from 11 A.M. until the time of service with Rev. Steve Haddix officiating. Burial will follow at Shelby Memory Gardens in Sidney, Ohio. Condolences may be expressed to the family at www.cromesfh.com.
