Billy Perry
Billy R. Perry, 78, of Rockford died Sunday, March 9, 2025 at his home. He was born March 31, 1946 and was the son of the late Bill and Sarah M. (Adkins) Perry.
On January 10, 1982 Billy married Jane (Dickson) Perry, who survives.
Billy served in the U. S. Army. He was a member of the Rockford Fraternal Order of Eagles post 1292, and the Rockford American Legion post 508. He lived a simple life, finding great joy in fishing, bird watching, and driving his little dog around town on his golf cart. Billy really loved gathering to visit with his family and close friends.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughter, Teresa Perry; sons, Jason Lies and Justin Lies; brother, Gary (Rhonda) Perry; sister, Sue Cross; six grandchildren, Derek, Bill, Hunter, Courtney, Rachel, and Preston; eight great grandchildren, Nathan, Haley, Elisabeth, Cameron, Kiyana, Lawrence, Kanye, Sophia; and one great great grandson, J. J.
Billy was preceded in death by his son, Ty Perry; and six brothers, Norman, Jake, Ed, Bob, Danny, and Daryl Perry.
In keeping with his wishes, Billy will be cremated. His family plans to have an intimate celebration of life at a later date.
