Larry Gehle
Larry Lee Gehle, age 83 of Celina, passed away on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at the Ohio Hospice of Dayton.
He was born on April 24, 1941 to the late Norbert and Dorothy (Bihm) Gehle in Celina. On June 5, 1974, he married Veronica Grych who survives in Celina.
He is also survived by his loving children Terese Carson of Greenwood, IN, Andrew (Connie) Gehle of Columbus, Christy (Sten) Tjaden of Arcada, CA, six grandchildren Alexandrea (DJ) Coffey of Greenwood, IN, Katherine (Ethan) Buckles of Chicago, IL, Gracie Gehle of Columbus, Tucker Gehle of Colorado, Janie Gehle of Cincinnati, Anja Tjaden of Philadelphia, PA, five great grandchildren, sisters Darlene Bollenbacher of Celina, Nancy (David) McDaniel of Miamisburg, aunt Rita Harter, many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his infant daughter Jacquelyn Gehle, brother Victor Gehle and sister Judy Bennett.
Larry graduated from Immaculate Conception High School with the class of 1959. He earned his Associates Degree in Accounting from Miami Jacobs Business College. He retired from SDS and Inspire after 20 years as Founder, Vice President and software programmer. He was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Celina, Knights of Columbus, Celina Eagles and Celina Moose Lodge.
Larry and Ronnie enjoyed snow skiing, fishing, deer hunting, traveling, camping in their motor home, boating, golfing, hosting Halloween parties and the Gehle Golf Open Invitational. Larry loved playing cards, especially bridge.
A Prayer Service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday, March 4, 2025 at the Lehman Dzendzel Funeral Home, with Fr. Adam Berning officiating.
Friends and family may call from 12:00 P.M. - 2:00 P.M. on Tuesday before services at the Lehman Dzendzel Funeral Home.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Roncalli High School 3000 Prague St. Indianapolis, IN 46227.
