Elaine Bruns
Elaine (Mesarvey) Bruns, age 83, of Coldwater passed away at Mercer County Community Hospital, Coldwater on Sunday, February 9, 2025. She was born March 20, 1941 in Celina to the late Edward & Leona (Hart) Mesarvey. On May 4, 1963, she married Norbert Bruns and he preceded her in death on November 17, 1999.
She is survived by his children and spouses, Christina Porter of San Francisco, California, Alicia & Brian Ellis of Columbus, and Angelina & Matthew Burklo of Cridersville; grandchildren, Victoria & Alex, Ellis, Juliet, Jacqueline, Nevaeh & Brayden, Tahirah, Mekhiah, Meliah, Alexandra & Grant, and Isabella; a great-grandchild on the way; and brother, Joe & Teri Mesarvey of Coldwater.
Elaine was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church in Coldwater. Elaine had a passion for helping young people grow in their faith. All the time she spent with her grandchildren was her greatest heart's desire and gift of unconditional love for future generations.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM Friday, February 14, 2025 at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Coldwater. Burial will follow at St. Elizabeth Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the luncheon following mass in the The Grotto located at Holy Trinity Church. Condolences may be left at www.hogenkampfh.com.
