Lynn Cisco
Lynn W. Cisco, age 83, of St. Marys, Ohio, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 2, 2025, surrounded by his loving family at Mercy Health - St. Rita's Medical Center in Lima.
He was born on April 3, 1941, to the late Veryl and Esther (Brodbeck) Cisco. On September 23, 1961, he married his beloved wife, Peggy (Rohrbach) Cisco, at Zion Lutheran Church in St. Marys. She preceded him in death on July 26, 2016.
Lynn is survived by his four devoted children: Scott (Jill) Cisco of Montezuma, Kim (Joe) Cron of Celina, Ty (Tammy) Cisco of St. Marys, and Amy (Jim) Freewalt of St. Marys; two brothers, Galen Cisco of Celina and John (Ruth) Cisco of St. Marys. He was preceded in death by his brother, Lewis Cisco; his sister, Sis (Bill) Krugh; two sisters-in-law, Martha Cisco and Darlene Enderud; and his in-laws, Earl (June) Rohrbach.
Lynn's legacy lives on through his ten cherished grandchildren: Seth (Madison) Staugler, Caleb Cisco, Josh (Kayla) Cisco, Adam (Maria) Cron, Joab Cron, Lindi (Kyle) Prenger, Katie (Tyler Thitoff) Freewalt, Nate Freewalt, Sydney (Braeden Dunlap) Cisco, and Lauren Cisco, along with eleven great-grandchildren, with three more on the way.
A proud 1959 graduate of St. Marys Memorial High School, Lynn dedicated his life to the community as the owner and operator of Cisco Stockyards in St. Marys. Even after retiring, he enjoyed staying active, mowing lawns for Cisco Lawn Care alongside his grandchildren.
Lynn was an avid fisherman, finding joy in trips to Minnesota for walleye fishing at the family home, as well as crappie fishing in Tennessee. He also treasured the camaraderie of his weekly Friday night poker games with close friends. Lynn was a loyal supporter of Rider girls' and boys' basketball teams and cherished the time spent with his family. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend, and he will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, February 6, 2025, at Cisco Funeral Home in St. Marys, Ohio, with Rev. Adam Poe officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Resthaven Memory Gardens in St. Marys.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
