Arthur Stukenborg
Arthur Raymond Stukenborg age 88 of St. Henry, passed away on Wednesday, December 25, 2024, at his home in rural St. Henry.
He was born on January 30, 1936, in Granville Township to the late Frank & Clara (Schockman) Stukenborg. He married Joyce (Beemer) Stukenborg on September 6, 1958. Joyce survives at their home in St. Henry.
Art is also survived by his five children, Steven & Kara Stukenborg of Centerville, Sheila & Mitch Wolters of Mesa, AZ, Frank Stukenborg of Ansonia, Sandee Zanko of Beavercreek, and Jerry Stukenborg of Beavercreek. Art is also survived by seven grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and siblings and in-laws: Francis "Pat" Vondrell, Dorothy Buening, and Thelma Loxley.
In addition to his parents, Art is preceded in death by siblings, Rev. Robert Stukenborg, Marcella Reilly, William "Billy" Stukenborg, Margaret Schoenlein, William Stukenborg, Adeline Reigelsperger, and Leona Knapke, as well as his father and mother-in-law, Rollo & Delorius Beemer.
Art was a member of St. Henry Catholic Church, in St. Henry. He proudly served his country as a sharpshooter in the National Guard. Art loved riding motorcycles and had done so for over 72 years. He enjoyed fixing up old cars and his 1961 Harley Davidson. Art was a lifetime member of Harley Davidson Owners Group (H.O.G.) and was a member of the Silver Kings and the Sky Liners Club. He enjoyed fishing, boating, and traveling.
When he was at home he enjoyed playing with his cats and being in his garden, where he grew pretty much anything and everything. Art could fix or build just about anything, and he loved spending time with his family and talking with friends and neighbors.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am Thursday, January 2, 2025, at St. Henry Catholic Church. Burial with military honors will follow in St. Henry Cemetery.
Friends and relation may call from 9 to 10 am Thursday, at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry. Memorial contributions may be made to the EverHeart Hospice.
