Marion Local captures 15th state title with dominating victory

CANTON - It didn't take long for Marion Local to put an exclamation point on the Division VII state championship game and its 2024 football season.
The Flyers scored early and often and shut down the Jeromesville Hillsdale offense in capturing a fourth straight state title - and fourth straight 16-0 season - and 15th state title in school history with a record-breaking 74-0 win over the Falcons at Tom Benson Hall of Fame Stadium in Canton. CELINA - A 49-year-old Celina man charged with attempted murder is requesting a change in venue and claiming self-defense in his case.
Samuel Paul was arraigned in late November on two counts of attempted murder, a first-degree felony, and four counts of felonious assault, a second-degree felony.
CELINA - With a much smaller budget than 2024, county engineer Jim Wiechart is prepping for a year full of road-widening projects in 2025.
The annual engineering budget makes up $15,409,132.17 of the county's total 2025 budget.
