* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

JoAnn Szippl
JoAnn E. Szippl, 69, passed away on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at Koester Pavilion Nursing Home in Troy, Ohio.
JoAnn was born on October 31, 1955, in Lima, Ohio, to Leo and Regina (Metzger) Brinkman. On September 15, 1984, she married David A. Szippl, who survives in Sidney.
JoAnn was the Rehab Director and a Physical Therapy Assistant at Heritage Manor for 30 years. She dearly loved her family and animals, and she loved hosting the holiday parties. She enjoyed watching game shows, reading, and music, including show tunes, oldies, and disco. Above all JoAnn loved helping others.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her son, Joshua (Jennifer) Szippl; daughter, Beth (Jared) Fuelling; grandchildren: Ronnie (Tifanie) Roberts, Brenden (Hannah) Szippl, and Jacob Szippl; five great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews; and friends who were like family.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Arthur Brinkman and John Brinkman; and sisters, Mary Smith and Janet Skinner.
The family will receive friends from 4 - 6 p.m. on Friday, December 6, 2024, at Chamberlain-Huckeriede Funeral Home, Lima, Ohio. The memorial service will follow at 6 p.m. Father David Ross will officiate. A mass and burial of ashes will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to SCARF (Shelby County Animal Rescue Foundation.
