William Ernst
William J. Ernst age 82 of Minster, Ohio, died on Wednesday, September 25, 2024 at his home in Minster.
He was born on October 5, 1941 in Piqua, Ohio to the late Wilfred & Esther (Steinke) Ernst. He married Ann Koester on April 22, 1961 at St. Augustine Church, Minster, Ohio and she survives in Minster.
He is also survived by daughters & husbands: Kelly & Rich Kinninger, Piqua, Sandra & Marc Baker, North Canton, Christine & Tom Shetler, Bolivar, Ohio, 11 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren, sisters & brother: Bernie & Dick VerBryke, Wapakoneta, JoAnn & Tom Barga, Ft. Loramie, Mike & Eunice Ernst, Minster, sister-in-law Susan & Kurt Kremer.
He was preceded in death by daughter Pamela Brown.
Bill was the owner & operator of The Archery Shop in Minster for 40 years. He was a member of the Ft. Loramie Racing Club, New Bremen Rod & Gun Club and enjoyed hunting, NASCAR and bow shooting. He loved spending time with his family and teaching his grandchildren & great grandchildren his hobbies and love of the outdoors.
A Celebration of Life will be held from 5:00 pm to 6:00 PM on Saturday, September 28, 2024 at Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster.
Friends may visit with the family at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home, Minster, on Saturday, from 1 to 5 PM.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the charity of the donor's choice. Condolences may be left at www.hogenkampfh.com.
