Marie Weitzel
Marie T. "Myrt" Weitzel, age 64, of St. Henry, Ohio passed away on Sunday, September 15, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loved ones.
She was born December 5, 1959, in Coldwater to the late Sylvester and Wilma (Lange) Dues. On July 25, 1981, she married Don Weitzel in St. Mary Church, Philothea and he survives in St. Henry.
She is also survived by her son Scott and Brittany Weitzel and their children, Avery, Kinley and Lainey. Also surviving are her siblings: Jane and Tom Laux, St. Henry, Doris and Lavaughn Muhlenkamp, Trinity, IN, Bernie and Ron Gross, St. Henry, Henry Dues, Van Wert, Lucy and Dave Rindler, St. Henry, Sandy Grieshop, Celina, Sam and Cindy Dues, Philothea, Marvin Dues, Coldwater, Nick Dues and Jay Faught, Santa Fe, NM, in-laws Roseann Dues, Philothea, Dan and Susan Echols, Findlay, Karen and Brian Clune, Maria Stein and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and father and mother-in-law Julius and Alice Weitzel and sister-in-law Deb Echols.
She worked for Reynolds and Reynolds in Celina for many years. She loved to bake, take family vacations, and spend time with family and friends.
Mass of Christian burial will be held at 10:30 AM on Monday, September 23, 2024, at St. Mary Church, Philothea. Burial to follow in St. Henry Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry on Sunday, September 22, 2024, from 1-6 PM and on Monday, September 23 from 9:00-10:00 AM.
