* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:40 AM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to fall slowly this afternoon, falling below flood stage later this evening. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Duane Meyer
Duane E. Meyer, 55, of St. Marys, OH died at 2:22 p.m. Monday August 5, 2024 in the emergency department of JTDM Hospital in St. Marys.
He was born January 19, 1969 in Greenville, OH to Linus and Sylvia (Roessner) Meyer. On April 7, 2012 in St. Marys, OH, he married Betsy (Sawmiller) Slaven, who survives.
Also survived by: daughter Samantha (Marcus) Bond of Kelseyville, CA; step-son Chad (Crystal) Slaven of St. Marys, OH; step-son Brandon (Samantha) Slaven of St. Marys, OH; step-son Dillon Slaven of St. Marys, OH; 1 grandson: Thomas Bond; 8 step-grandchildren: Ethan, Logan, Isabella, Journey, Rayleigh, Kinsley, Lillian and Aubrie Slaven; mother Sylvia Meyer of Minster, OH; and sister Lamonica (Trace) Senger of Celina, OH.
Preceded in death by: father Linus Meyer; sister Roberta Meyer; sister Sonya Meyer.
He attended Marion Local Schools.
A skilled tool and die maker, he was employed at LOC Performance and OMNI Manufacturing, both in St. Marys. In addition, he and his father owned and operated Paradigm Tool & Die Co. in Minster, OH for a number of years.
He was a member of Eagles Lodge Aerie #767 in St. Marys.
Duane will be remembered as hard-working, friendly and outgoing. His favorite pastimes include spending time socializing with friends and spoiling his grandchildren.
Rites are scheduled to begin at 11:00 a.m. Friday August 9, 2024 at the Miller - Long & Folk Funeral Home 314 W. High Street in St. Marys. Pastor Judy Baker will officiate the services.
Visitation 1 - 3 and 5 - 8 p.m. on Thursday at the funeral home on High Street.
