* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Jimmie Hawkins Jr.
Jimmie Rayburn Hawkins Jr., 54, of Trent Woods, North Carolina and formerly of Celina, Ohio, passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2024.
He was born February 19, 1970, in St. Marys, OH, to Jim Hawkins Sr. and Connie (Hull) McCain. On October 10, 2020, he married Melynda "Myndi" Hawkins and she survives at the residence in Trent Woods, North Carolina.
Leaving behind to honor and cherish his memories are his children, Sarah (Michael) Cox, Felton, Pennsylvania, Brianna (Fenix) Day, Van Wert, Ohio, Alexander Hawkins, Celina, Ohio and Kolton Hawkins, Trent Woods, North Carolina; his grandchildren, Ned Cox, Olin Cox, Eli Day and Olivia Day; father, Jim (Linda) Hawkins, Sr; mother, Connie McCain; sisters, Amanda Glosette and Cara (Chris) Reasner; father-in-law, Ken Whitock; mother-in-law, Sharon Whitock; the mother of his three adult children, Sheila Temple; and many nieces and nephews.
Jimmie was a 1988 graduate of Celina Senior High School. He worked at Crown Equipment for the past 36 years in many different roles in New Bremen, Celina, Minster, and most recently Kinston, North Carolina.
He attended New Life Christian Church in New Bern, North Carolina. He enjoyed watching the Cleveland Browns, vacationing, and most of all spending time with his family. Jimmie was a devoted husband, father and grandfather and had great friends. As our hearts ache for the physical loss of him, we find solace knowing that he is now with God. He is at peace. And for that, we are grateful.
In Ohio, family will receive visitors from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm on Saturday, July 27, 2024, at Cisco Funeral Home, Celina. A celebration of Jim's life will begin at 12:00 pm. Following the services, the family will host a meal at the VFW at 1:00 pm.
In North Carolina, a celebration of Jim's life will be held at 6:00 pm on Tuesday, August 6, 2024, at Cotten Funeral Home. The family will receive visitors following the service.
