Carol Ann Hartnagel
Carol Ann Hartnagel, 80, of Fort Recovery, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, July 3, 2024, at Divine Rehabilitation and Nursing at Shane Hill in Rockford, Ohio.
She was born on March 19, 1944, in Celina, Ohio, to the late Sylvester and Dorothy (Bruggeman) Reichert.
Carol is survived by her husband of 57 years, Eugene Hartnagel, whom she married on September 3, 1966; her children, Brian (Stephanie) Hartnagel and Tammy (Allen) Post, all of Fort Recovery; her granddaughter, Devin Post; her grandsons, Logan, Austin, and Ethan Hartnagel, and Ryne Post; her siblings, Dave (Mary) Reichert of Florida, Marge Martin of Fort Recovery, Joan (Ed) Leighner of Union City, Ohio, Mary Lou Mescher of Fort Recovery, Virginia (Jack) Meinerding of Union City, Ohio, Tom (Kathy) Reichert of Fort Recovery, Fred (Diane) Reichert of Fort Recovery, Gary (Beverly) Reichert of Indiana, Steve (Ruth) Reichert of Fort Recovery, Ann (Jim) Stammen of Fort Recovery, Kim (Dave) Rammel of Fort Recovery, and Regina Reichert of Kentucky; her brothers-in-law, Kenneth (Connie) Hartnagel of Indiana, and Jerry Vest of Indiana; and numerous nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Carol was preceded in death by her son, Gregory Hartnagel; her siblings, Teresa "Tess" Vest, and Robert Reichert; and her brothers-in-law, Dick Martin and Vern Mescher.
Carol was a 1962 graduate of Fort Recovery High School. She spent most of her life as a homemaker raising her family. In her free time, Carol enjoyed going camping, traveling, and reading. Her family was the joy of her life, and she loved spoiling her grandchildren. Carol was a member of Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 AM, on Tuesday, July 9, 2024, at Mary Help of Christians Catholic Church, Fort Recovery. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery.
Guests may visit with Carol's family on Monday, July 8, 2024, from 3:00 PM until 7:00 PM and again on Tuesday from 9:00 AM until 10:00 AM at Brockman Boeckman Funeral Home, Fort Recovery.
