* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Ronald Ruchty
Ronald E. Ruchty, age 92 of North Star, Ohio, died Wednesday April 3, 2024, at Briarwood Village in Coldwater.
Ron was born May 4, 1931, in Cincinnati to the late Victor & Viola (Graff) Ruchty. Ron married Eva M. (Gelhaus) Ruchty, his wife of 65 years on April 16, 1955, in St. Bernard Church in Burkettsville. Eva preceded Ron in death on May 12, 2020.
Ron is survived by children, Nick & Pam Ruchty of Naples, Fla.; Renea & Joe Harlamert of Coldwater; Mark & Jill Ruchty of Bradford; Ted & Julie Ruchty of New Weston; and Rhonda & Keith Moorman of Versailles; 11 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren, and a sister-in-law, Thelma Ruchty of Coldwater.
In addition to his parents, and wife Eva, Ron is preceded in death by his only brother Gerald Ruchty.
Ron was a member of St. Louis Catholic Church in North Star, and the Holy Name Society at the church. He was also a member of the Knights of Columbus in Greenville. Ron worked as an inspector for Cadillac Gage Textron. He and Eva loved ballroom dancing, and even competed and placed in many competitions. Ron and Eva had many friends, and together they crafted the perfect Manhattan. He will be remembered by his family and friends for his gentle mannerisms.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 5, 2024, at St. Louis Catholic Church in North Star. Following the funeral mass, burial will take place in St. Louis Cemetery, North Star.
Friends and relations may call from 9-10 a.m. on Friday, April 5, in the gathering room at St. Louis Church.
Memorial contributions may be made to the St. Louis Catholic Church, North Star.
