Linda Garke
Linda Ann (Eiting) Garke, 62, of Carthagena, Ohio, passed away peacefully at her home on Tuesday, April 2, 2024.
She was born on January 22, 1962, in St. Marys, Ohio, to the late Kenneth and Irma (Klosterman) Eiting.
In addition to her parents, Linda was preceded in death by her beloved husband, David "Goose" Garke, whom she married on December 12, 1992, and who passed away on April 19, 2022.
Linda is survived by her children, Rebecca (Jason) Stover of Celina; Ashley Eyink of Troy; and Jacob (Melissa) Westerheide of Carthagena; her grandchildren, Luka Eyink, Graci and Kenner Westerheide, and Briggs Stover; her siblings, Tim (Kristy) Eiting of New Bremen; Nick Eiting of Anna; and Vickie (Jeff) Wuebker of McCartyville; her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Joan Garke of St. Henry; her in-laws, Dennis (Sherry) Garke and Sharon (Jim) Vaughn, all of Fort Recovery; and numerous nieces, nephews, and close friends.
Linda was a 1980 graduate of Minster High School. Growing up, Linda loved horses and to this day they brought a smile to her face. Family was the most important thing to Linda. She loved spending time with her family and spoiling her grandchildren. Linda also enjoyed going on vacations, traveling, and cooking. She was a member of St. Aloysius Catholic Church in Carthagena.
A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, April 5, at St. Aloysius Catholic Church, Carthagena. Burial will take place in the church cemetery at a later date.
Following the Mass, an open house celebration of Linda's life will be held in her honor at The Harvest Barn, 6915 Oldings Road, Maria Stein, Ohio, where friends and family will gather to reminisce, share stories, and honor the beautiful life she lived. The reuniting of Goose and Linda will be marked with Busch lattes and red wine, a heartfelt toast to the enduring love they shared.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be given to EverHeart Hospice, 1350 N. Broadway Street, Greenville, Ohio 45331.
