Amsterdam: Once there was a town here
It was summer 1849. Deadly cholera was sweeping through Ohio. The hundred or so residents of tiny Amsterdam didn't stand a chance.

NEW BREMEN - The only reminder of a small, bustling 1880s canal town is a road named after it.
Local historians hope to remedy that by putting up a commemorative marker.

WAPAKONETA - Minster and Marion Local will meet in the Division IV girls basketball district final in Wapakoneta on Saturday for the second year in a row.
