* ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 12:40 PM EDT Sunday the stage was 13.0 feet. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise to a crest of 13.0 feet this afternoon. It will then fall below flood stage just after midnight tonight. - Flood stage is 13.0 feet.

Carolyn Smith
Carolyn Sue (Adams) Smith, age 83, of Celina, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 17, 2024, at Celina Manor.
She was born May 22, 1940, in Celina to the late Bruce and Velma (Yaney) Adams. On November 5, 1966 she married John W. Smith and he survives in Celina.
Other survivors include her son, Andrew J. (Holly) Smith, Celina; two stepsons, Clinton Smith, Celina and Daniel (Lisa) Smith, Celina; a daughter-in-law, Jennifer Smith, Celina; and seven grandchildren, Dalton, Logan, Payton, Carly, Richard, Roland and Brooke.
She was also preceded in death by her son, Doug Smith; and her siblings, Paul (Mary) Adams, Owen (Lilian) Adams, Mary Helen (John) Wilwrath and Mary Ann "Marcie" (Roger) Powell.
Carolyn was a 1958 graduate of Celina High School. She worked at Huffy Bicycle in Celina for many years and retired from Mercer County Health Department after 17 years of service. She was an active member of the St. John Lutheran Church, Hopewell Township in Rockford, where she was a member of the Women's Society. She was a caring and loving wife, mother, grandmother and a friend to many; she will be truly missed. She enjoyed cooking and baking for people, gardening, canning and working on the family farm.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 21, 2024, from 1 to 4 p.m. at Cisco Funeral Home in Celina and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. at St. John Lutheran Church on Monday, Jan. 22.
Funeral services will take place on Monday, January 22, 2024, at 10:30 am at St. John Lutheran Church, Hopewell Township, 9009 State Route 118, Rockford, Ohio 45882, with Pastor Adam Poe officiating. Interment will follow at Buck Cemetery in Celina.
Memorial contributions can be made in Carolyn name to St. John Lutheran Church, Hopewell Township.
