  CELINA - A protest filed against the candidacy of a St. Marys transgender woman looking to unseat State Rep. Angie King, R-Celina, has been deemed invalid by the Ohio Secretary of State's Office, according to a local elections official.
However, county assistant prosecutor Amy Ikerd said it's unclear at the moment whether Mercer County Board of Elections members will go ahead with a hearing on the matter. [More]

Marion Local alumnus Nathan Bruns scored 25 points to help lead the University of Findlay to an 85-79 win over Northwood in a Great Midwest Athletic Conference game on Saturday.
Bruns shot 10-of-18 with 10 rebounds, three assists and two steals on Saturday. For the season, he leads the Oilers in scoring, averaging 16.2 points and 5.3 rebounds in 22.6 minutes per game. [More]
