CELINA - The Ohio Facilities Construction Commission has agreed to pitch in an additional $7.87 million toward Celina City School's building project, upping its total contribution to about $59 million.
School board members at this week's regular meeting signed off on a number of resolutions related to the building project, including one accepting the additional state dollars. [More]

FORT RECOVERY - School board members at this week's regular meeting learned about a new scholarship aimed at rewarding seniors for their hard work and incentivizing them to attend a higher education institution in Ohio.
The Governor's Merit Scholarship was unveiled on Dec. 4 and offers up to $5,000 a year in financial assistance to high school seniors who graduate in the the top 5% of their class, according to high school principal Ryan Steinbrunner. [More]

ROCKFORD - Parkway swept Celina in a boys/girls basketball doubleheader at Panther Gymnasium, although the Celina boys nearly pulled off a frantic comeback in the nightcap.
