James Moorman
James Moorman, age 80 of Chickasaw passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023 at Celina Manor.
He was born on April 27, 1943 in Celina, Ohio to the late Anthony & Pauline (Wenning) Moorman. On April 12, 1969 he married Elaine (Bertke) and she survives in Chickasaw.
He is survived by children, Craig & Cindy Moorman of St. Henry, Brenda McGee & special friend Dennis Wenning of Celina, and Brian & Shelley Moorman of Decatur; grandchildren, Maria Gallegos, Derek & Sylvia Roop, Lexi & Adam Hagen, Chase & Jade Roop, Braxton & Angelica Roop, Emily Moorman and Madison Moorman; 3 great-grandchildren; his siblings and in-laws, Jane Clune of Coldwater, Sam & Lilly Moorman of St. Henry, Donna Siefring of Celina, Randy Moorman of St. Marys, Ted & Martha Moorman of Coldwater, Sandy & Eugene Smart of Celina, Dorothy & Ken Tobin of Coldwater, Pat Moorman of Georgia, Chris & Mary Agnes Moorman of St. Henry, Cathy & Rick Homan of Ft. Recovery, Tim & Susan Moorman of Coldwater, Tina & Steve Lamott of Seven Mile, Nita & Dave Scudder of Hamilton, Dave & Joan Moorman of Maria Stein, Phyllis Moorman of Coldwater, Carol Moorman of Celina, Frida Sanders of Ft. He is preceded in death by a brothers Robert Moorman and Terry Moorman; and in-laws Paul Clune, Don Siefring, Bud Sanders, and Jane Bertke.
He was a member of Precious Blood Catholic Church in Chickasaw. Jim was a veteran of the United States Army. He drove semi-trucks and a heavy equipment operator for many years. Jim enjoyed tinkering, being a grandpa and playing cards.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 am on Tuesday, December 19, 2023 at Precious Blood Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Precious Blood Cemetery.
Friends may call on Monday, December 18, 2023 from 3PM to 8PM and on Tuesday from 9AM to 10AM at the Hogenkamp Funeral Home in St. Henry. The family encourages visitors to dress casual.   
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimers Association of Northwest Ohio or to a charity of the donor's choice.
